BIOGRAPHYNG Tuck Wah was born in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia in 1964. He was a recepient of the ASEAN scholarship awarded by the Public Service Commission of Singapore to do his A-levels in 1982. He attained his Bachelors of Engineering (Honours) degree from the National University of Singapore in 1988. From 1988-1990, he pursued research at the National University of Singapore under a Research Scholarship. This culminated in a Masters of Engineering degree for his work on the optical characterization of polymers in 1990. From 1990 to 1996, he was employed at the National University of Singapore first as a Research Assistant and than as a Professional Officer. In 1996, he was awarded a PhD by the National University of Singapore for his work on digital speckle shearing interferometry. Dr Ng continued his employment at the National University of Singapore as Lecturer in 1997. In 1998, he was appointed Assistant Professor at the same University. He joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Monash University, Australia, in October 2006. He is currently Associate Professor at Monash. |
